RT Lives!!!

I'm getting pumped just reading the few players/coaches comments there are so far.

We've got Nnamdi talking about showing up for his team. Putting 'winning' above the status of his wallet and the risk of injury. Who didn't see that coming?

We've got Kelly feeling obligated to FINALLY talk to the media after getting his big contract. What does he talk about? Finally getting to hit and get hit, being more physical than Sapp, being happy to play the middle, and taking on a leadership roll. He's finally confirming what we've all suspected - that he's a high quality character who loves to play the game. We've all seen what this guy can do and I think within 3 years his contract will prove to be not enough for what this guy will bring. Not that he'll complain.

Then on the offensive side we've got JaMarcus being his usual humble self. His head hasn't grown a bit obviously. It's actually a little scary how much responsibilty and accountability he places on himself to have success. The guy talks about feeding every family of every coach & player for crying out loud. Hell, my only concern with this guy's character is will he crack under the immense pressure he must feel, when the sh*t really hits the fan? I seriously doubt it though. He has a Snake-like quality about him.

We haven't even gotten to Fargas or Morrison yet.

This is going to be a very productive camp with our young leadership finally growing roots.

RT is finally open for business!

Should be an exciting and interesting year...FINALLY. It's been a long dismal road and while I won't get caught up in musings about the playoffs I honestly feel like there is finally a light at the end of this long tunnel and this time it isn't a train.

Season tix are sitting in the desk drawer and I'm counting the days till Sept 8th!!

Cheers,

Ian

So! They guy with keys finally shows up. Draw a cold one for me, RT.

Damn! I'm impressed with Russell. What's his attitude?

“Just by being a quarterback, you got to look at it: Everybody on the team gets paid off of what I do and the rest of the team does. I hate to say it but I’m accountable for a lot of the guys’ families.”

That, my friends, is something we haven't seen in these parts for quite some time! I'm trying to remember what it is we used to call it.

Oh, YEAH! It's called LEADERSHIP!
