I've seen pop-warner teams play with more intensity. I’m embarrassed for them and to be a fan.

Here's some more appropriate haiku (the lines are right, but the formatting may get screwed up because up too many characters):

Drop back,drop back,drop
back,drop back,drop back,Dodge!Juke! Run! Run! Fall down.

Porter, who clashed with Shell in the offseason, was joking around on the sideline during the game and told ESPN he wasn't even watching the performance.

That being said, I could hear the stadium sing "RAII-DERS" for the first few plays of SD's first drive, AND they showed "RAIII-DERSS" on the jumbo-tron. An ongoing project, methinks?

WR with an attitude problem. I played a long time ago, "Class of 69" but on our team if there was a player who was a problem the coach sent us out to take care of it! I know, I was one of the problems early on. It got my punk-ass strieght! in a hurry! My point: there are 52 other player on this team, do you believe that they would let some 'PunkAss" act that way and do nothing? after a loss? I did not see it on the game so I do not know what happened but if this is true why the hell is he still alive? Break his freeeking legs! I would not trade him for cheep and give him what he wants, I would make it as rough as possible on his ass and the next guy who thinks he can pull this type of crap will think twice? Does he get a game check if he is in-active for the game? Make his dumb ass pay!

Where do we go from here? Up-Up-Up Baby because there is no lower.

Shoot some crow: "BlackBuzzard of the North" for lunch Sunday morning???? and than we get a week off to try to put the ship back together. All I have is HOPE!!

I forgot my pass word for the sign in as "PantyRaider" but I started signing in this way in April just before the NFL Draft while I was in Thailand. How do I get my password back?

All I've got to say is that I refused to be taken in by all that hype about the preseason and on the flipside I am not ready to buy the doom and gloom that Monday Night. We've got 15 games to go and it will take awhile for the O-Line to find their bearings. There is plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and we should have a season to build on by the end of this year. That being said it would be nice to take one from Denver and/or KC and I am not ready to rule out the possibility of beating SD in the rematch

I know this is the haiku thing but dammit I'm too mad. Still!
Problem is offensive scheme. We've heard it from many... Hoss... Tim Brown... tv folks.... that what they are doing is playing Al's outdated verticle game and it doesn't work in today's nfl. Monday night was all the evidence you needed of the futility of it, if last year and every other non-gruden team of the last 25 years wasn't enough. ENOUGH ALREADY. Freddy B... I loved you when you were a player, I even had your poster in my room in the seventies, but dude I gotta believe you cannot coach. Ditto Willie Brown. Double ditto Mr no emotion, slight scowl Shell. And please, Tom Walsh. You are mereley picking up the biggest check you are able to obtain... kiss Al's ass tell him you love Sid Gillam too and then wear your headset and pretend to be an OC. What we saw Monday night was a team in bad need of a head coach and OC. I mean zero adjustments. Did y'all read Marty's comments? He wasn't rubbing it in, but he basically was saying that his bolts really didn't even have to try. They never even really broke a sweat. Marty said that they never had to use much of their gameplan. How embarrassing for us!Their QB never HAD to throw. We were guessing all night.. on the run all night... had no answers all night. THAT'S COACHING... END OF STORY. In our own backyard we could muster no yardage, hardly any first downs... heck crossing mid-field was damn near impossible. I refuse to believe that all of our players, year in and year out, are THAT bad. LT: Harlow, Simms, Gallery... get beat for sacks... because they are repeatedly put in bad, demoralizing situations. QB's hold the ball too long... no one is open... cuz they can't do anything with the play. The line is pushed around cuz it's on the ropes from start to finish. It looked no different than Norv, Callhan, White, Bugel etc etc etc. IT's AL!!!! IT'S THE SCHEME! It ruins careers. The long pass patterns, deep drops, predictable running, no mis-direction, no imagination etc etc... it is a terrible, outdated offensive style, predicated on thinking you are vastly stronger than the other guy. Wrong. A good defensive team can not only whip it, it can humiliate it. It is to the point where REAL coaches won't take our HC job... next it will be PLAYERS that don't want to come here. You watch.
There we were in the second half, humiliated and still running the same shit. Nine sacks??? No nfl team is that bad... that is coaching. Remeber Derrick Thomas?Walsh should be fired because he's not even qualified to OC for a high school squad. Seriously. And I was mad at Porter but damn, he's right. He wants out of it. He's watched it for a long time and sees no point in it. You don't think Tim Brown's been in his ear? After watching Monday night I can no longer be mad at him. Who wants to play in THAT offense? It has NO CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING. Trade Porter immediately for Volek just to keep San diego or the Chiefs from getting the qb.
I'm still not over the loss. I can handle rebuilding, new coach, losing a game... but I can't deal with games that aren't even competitive.
And I ask you all... do you think if Marty had our players and Al his for an offseason, what do you think would have happened Monday night? I bet you the game would have at least been competitive.

Anno: Bama 7 You introduce yourself as a Raider Fan and than proceed to bash everything about the organization and its hall of fame coaches while at the same time pumping up the SD FireFlies and their coach????? Am I supose to believe you are a RaiderFan and not some imposter trying to bad-mouth our family????our Nation??? Some of what you say may be true but you are so far out of reality!
#1 Fredy was coaching Timmy and the rest for years and they were winners.
#2 Shell has a winning record as a coach and this is his first game back on a team which could not win last year eather.
#3 Shot-timmer has been in SD for what 4-5 years and only ONE play off!!!! SD One play-off in 11 years, wow! What a record!
#4 Chucky boy Crud-doumb lost to the Ravens as bad a us Monday so where is the glory?? He ran the man out of Oakland that was responsible for the team winning because he was getting the credit-Willy Shaw-and his "D" was good. We have not had good "D" sence but we are lots better off without chuck-roast!!!! He took a winning team in Tampa and sent them to the Abyssss!
#5 What the hell have you done? Who the hell are you? I don't hide behind some key-bord or a phone, I am out there, publick, and exposed! And damn proud to be a RAIDER!!!

This is not my computer so I don't want to do anymore than anonymous. I love Oaksland. Ever since I was a little boy and the Snake was tripped up and threw the TD in the sea of hands I have loved them. I was 7 years old. I had my mom and dad buy me a team jacket soon after (my older brother had the Steelers jacket). See, living in Alabama we have no pro teams so you just had to pick someone. Most like the Steelers, Cowboys, Vikings or Dolphins. I picked Oakland and haven't looked back since. You're wrong about Shaw... he was good some, bad some. And, I don't care a flip about Griden in TB, but he was really good for us. Al just hated the west coast offense with a passion. I hate to ruffel fellow fans but I was just pissed at getting beat, yet agian, by Shotty... and the games are not even close. I have to take a freakin valium to sleep. So get off my ass.

Anno Bama 7:
Am I on your ass? This was just a Monday night game at the begaining of the season, not the SD-SB where we got slaped and have never gotten back up! I understand anger but I do not understand self inflicted wounds like I see by Arabs with chains. Dude! Is this what you are doing?

I lived in SD for 4 years on my boat before I sailed to Hawaii and the fans there would pose for a day as RaiderFans just to bash our team and players and hall of famers like Fredy and Art and Al. Why do you sound like them? We suck, yes, but we will be back up tomorrow or the next day, have faith bro! Maybe we are all a little edgy, Ok, I back off. When I heard what you said it made me angry, don't kick the people who made history for us in the past. At least we have a past to hold onto because alot of fans don't even have that.
