Cardinals Gameday Thread

I've been about as lazy as Raiders defenders jogging after 49ers on Thursday night, failing to put up postgame takes (and corresponding Clown Cars), because, well...apathy? Now that Mark Davis is playing the fall guy, I guess we might as well lay this all on his doorstep: seven seasons since Al Davis passed away, and all he and Reggie and now Gruden have to show for it, beside one brief season of hope, is a total teardown (don't call it a rebuild yet) and an imminent move to Las Vegas. This organization is now shoulder to shoulder with the Browns and Bills, the kind of sustained incompetence that defies the very phenomenon of parity that the NFL is geared to cultivate. So there you go, and I guess we root for a win today, unless we're rooting for more tanking in the hopes that Gruden picks the right guy at #1 instead of letting the better guy fall to #2? GO...RAIDERS?

Well said!

Seven years is a long time to only find rock bottom. I will root for the Raiders to lose today, only to keep the draft dream alive. Also, I will root for a semblance of coaching acumen that gives me confidence that the next seven years might be better than the last seven.

Is it just me, or does Brent Musburger sound like a bad impersonation of Harry Carey? I'm hoping for a Raiders win, the fan base needs a pick me up. Win, lose, or tie; Raiders 'til I die.
Raiders finally score a TD, but now the Cards come back and score with Fitzgerald. (Lowers head in shame and just asks the Lord, "Why?")

In other news, if you haven't seen the Alex Smith injury, MAN, that is gruesome! 33 years ago was a similar injury to a Redskins QB, Joe Theismann, and he never recovered.
Alex to have surgery immediately, and hopefully will be back. He is a good dude, and a great competitor, nothing but the best for him and prayers for him and his family.

Carr and Gruden getting into each other after an incomplete pass. Good for Carr, after a crappy play call by Gruden.

Well, the Raiders even managed to screw that up. There are no moral victories in winning right now. Everyone knows the Raiders suck. No need to try and mask it by winning a game against a horrible QB-less team that nobody cares about.

AZ now holds the #1 pick, and they have no winnable games left on their schedule. Unless you think the team that lost to the Raiders today can beat the Rams, Chargers, Packers, Falcons, Seahawks or Lions.

Nate, there goes your chance to draft Ed Oliver. Even before today's game, mock drafts had AZ taking Oliver. We have to hope the Giants trade up for the Cards pick.
