I hope Derek Carr apologizes for hitting his WRs in the hands. If they could catch, we would actually be winning.

As long as Tarver is caoching the D. Raiders are going no where.

Tarver was Dennis Allens guy. Nuff said.

And what did we see this week? PROGRESS...just like I said it would. Tough loss, but wow, the leap in progress and effort was very noticeable. DA was holding the team back and the players had quit on him.
SD is ranked as 1 of the top 3 teams in the League....don't like the loss, but you can see a team there and you can see them being close if they had some decent DB's and LB's.
REC's, Raiders should have won if the REC's would have done their jobs. 8-9 drops is pathetic. Jano blows another 3....the guy just doesn't come through when he is needed the most, been that way his whole career.
Much better coaching, much better effort...still need better execution and seasoning for the STUD QB that REGGIE drafted. For those who say Reggie can't draft...maybe you need to stop.

We have a song dedication from Dennis Allen to all the Raider fans out there. "Don't You Forget(About Me) by Simple Minds. A song from back in the day when the Raiders were winning. Oh, and to Reggie Mac's PR agent, don't worry, Big Reg will find another over the hill QB to give $8-10 mil of Marc Davis' money to next year. Funny that Reggie Mac's PR agent complains about the dropped passes when his client in a WR deep draft DID NOT DRAFT A SINGLE WR! Be sure to give Reggie my regards,

Dennis Allen

Progress isn't measured in one game. Raiders made adjustments that should have been made weeks ago.

They opened it up a bit on offense but took an unnecessary risk calling a low-percentage long pass play with plenty of time left on the clock at the end.

Defense looked pretty much the same ole; giving up huge chunks of yardage when it matter most.

McFadden and Carrie both had solid games, and Carr actually gives the team some credibility. If it wasn't for Carr, this is game would have been just another blowout, with the Raiders losing 31-7.

Hey, losing to Miami in a wipe out and playing neck and neck with SD....yeah, that is progress. The Defense needs better players, for sure.
The Offense was much better and Carr is a STUD QB. He will be the Raiders QB for years and you still cry like someone stole your Halloween candy...get some testicles.
If the Raiders would have caught the ball, Raiders win. Now the team is being set to move forward, you can see the young talent and they are building a foundation....pretending like it's just a mess = you are lost.

Hey 'dennis'....what about all the other picks Reggie made, Mack, Carr, Jackson, Ellis, Carrie...top flight draft and you still cry he didn't do enough. Go play with your lego, 'dennis'.

Definite progress. I liked that the Raiders offense were aggressive and took their shots. The offensive line did a fantastic job giving Carr time and solid protection. What the Raiders offense did against the #1 defense in the NFL is nothing short of miraculous. Going into their 6th game, the Chargers were giving up 12 points per game -- we rung up 4 TD passes.

Every time the Chargers got in the red zone, Tarver needed to make damn sure that Gates was double-teamed which he didn't do and cost us. Mack & Moore need to be used more to add to the pass rush.

Kudos to Sparano for facing adversity and capturing the hearts & minds of the team. 4-6 wins of remaining 11 and this kind of overall effort, and I would bring Sparano back.

Only Reggie's PR mouthpiece could complain about WRs dropping passes and completely omit that his guy, Big Reg, didn't draft a single WR. Let that sink in.

"The Defense needs better players, for sure."

How is that possible? McKenzie spent the entire off-season building this defense. And today they let a 4th team rookie free agent RB get the best of them.

Corkran sums it up well:

"The Chargers carved up the Raiders defense for 423 yards, five scores and a 57 percent success rate on third-down plays.

[In the end] Rookie running back Branden Oliver ripped off runs of 12, 10 and 7 to get the Chargers to the Raiders 1-yard line.
Oliver capped the drive with a leap across the goal line."

Kudos to Sparano for lighting a spark with this team. But the bar is set very low if that's being labeled progress.

Guys yes the game was entertaining and at least watchable compared to the previous 4 but they still lost.

I am not into defining progress based on being competitive. Winning games is the only thing.

NY, no mention of Carr tearing them up? If the rec's can catch, Carr has a 400yrd day. Looks like your view is very slanted...are you sure you are a Raider fan?
Corkran is butt hurt, a Raider hater....screw him.

When the team was as low as it was...then progress is what we need to look at...the wins will come and then you babies will have to cry about something else.

Yes, I get that it is ultimately about wins but to suggest that the team didn't look VASTLY improved today (against a very good team I might add), is rather ignorant.

The highest offensive production by the Raiders offense this year against the best defensive team in the NFL -- yes that is progress.

AND, the Raiders held SD to the same point total as Seattle. They are a top 3 O in the League and the Raiders still had a very good chance to at least tie at the end. A rookie QB made a bad choice, the team made too many errors...easily could have won that game. Chargers were in a battle and they knew it, guess you couldn't see that from your seat....way out there in the Big Apple.

What kind of idiot argument is that?

If it wasn't for Rivers, the Chargers would have been blown out 31-10

If it wasn't for Peyton Manning, the Jets would have killed the Broncos in the Meadowlands.

Hey Jones how about the wonderful signings of Woodley, Smith and Tuck. Reggie's remake of the d-line was what lost the game yesterday.

If a head coach can be fired during season, why can't a DC be fired too ?

Tarver has to go. The sooner, the better.

I agree Raider00. The biggest difference yesterday for the Raiders was the aggressiveness on offense. If the defense played aggressive, and punched the WRs on the LoS, Rivers doesn't have much success. But same ol' bullcrap, lining up, giving the WRs space, and getting lit up in the secondary. TJ Carrie did play huge, but I'm sure Tarver will bench him for making the team look good.
Tarver needs to go.

SCAR

0-5. That's what the Raiders are. I am glad I slept on my feelings about the game. lolol...
my own personal evaluation of the organization to include Reggie on down to the last man on the practice squad is ongoing.

How bad is it hurting For the Raiders that Nick Roach is out all season??
The middle of the Raiders D is soooo not good.

The Rookie giveth, and the Rookie taketh away...

I saw alot of good and alot of bad...
So far, after one game, I will take Sparano in a heartbeat over Dennis Allen.
Ah well,,, on to the next one

Not sure whats worse, the name calling and personal attacks, or the whining going on here...
