Texans Gameday Take

Here's the thing...The reason the Raider Nation is (justifiably) freaking out right now is that the Raiders are showing little indication of on-field improvement in 2014 compared to 2013 and 2012.

That may change, hopefully starting today, but that's where things stand right now for anyone who has eyeballs.

Now, here's the other thing...No matter what situation Reggie and DA walked into three years ago, there's simply no excuse for a lack of improved performance after three years of (alleged) culture change, two full drafts and a free agency period with tons of money to spend.

So either things will improve, or we'll be watching the end of the Reggie-DA era in slow motion as the season progresses.

That, amigos, is where we stand right now, and time is getting short.

So here come the Texans and J.J. Watt for the first home game of the season. It's time for the Raiders to step up and give the Nation a glimmer of hope that this team is better that it has looked so far. GO RAIDERS!

It bothered me that Tarver squarely placed all blame on his players last week, saying execution was the problem on defense.

Hey, Tarver, create a game plan that your players can execute.

Three years is a long time in the NFL. It's longer than the average player career.

It's time to be held accountable.

Go Raiders!!

...Well, if Reggie Mckenzie is making the pick.

Will be a college player that's resting in the intensive care unit right now.

If we had top notch WRs, we'd be back in this game. This is what happens when you keep 2nd tier WRs as your #1's.

The defensive play calling on third down blows too.

Looking at the schedule 0-16 is a very real possibility.

Not sure what to make of it. The play calling might have been better than last week but the results got worse.

Raiders have no WRs. James Jones fumbling twice on the same play was inexcusable.

Carr will get better. He needs a better cast around him... and probably better coaching.

Extremely disappointing that we can't even be competitive.

And the Clown Car makes an early season debut...

Might as well park it out front and leave the keys in the ignition RT. Its going to make routine appearances in 2014.

Reggie is a bigger problem than Allen. The worst unit on the team is the d-line. They are putrid.

Reggie over-hauled it this year and spent $$$ on three new starters.
I can only Mark gets rid of him at the end of the year.

Had hopes of going 1-1 after today - lose to the pats and maybe get one against the fins 2-2 would work for me. Now They could go 0-fer the way they played today. This is unf- ing believable.

Rich Gannon had an awesome idea a few years ago.... Bomb the place and start all over again. This is terrible coached team. Not prepared, terrible play calling, and NO HEART. Same bullshit...
GM HC OC DC THEY ALL GOT TO GO.
