Jets Gameday Thread

Today's theme is "righting the ship." This is a very winnable game for team that needs to win one after two disappointing finishes against the Titans and Cowboys.

Here are Geno Smith’s passer ratings in each of the past three games: 10.1, 22.3 and 8.3. Our defense should be rested and licking its chops. Our offense, however, needs to be prepared for a stout Jets attack.

After this, we face the Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos. If we can go 2-2 over these last few games, we'll reach six wins. A win today would make that  distinct possibility. GO RAIDERS!

Raiders are extemely thin at RB and safety today, i.e., in addition to the usual lack of depth at virtually every other position. Geno Smith is a mobile QB and the Raiders face a challenge containing him. Also, he gets a couple of his top receivers back this week, so nobody should carry any false hope for today based on his QB ratings from the last few games. Raiders will likely need their "A" game today if they want to begin the final stretch of the season on the right foot.

Here's to hoping they bring just that...

GO RAIDERS!

Wow! So much for the Raiders bringing their "A" game.

This game has clown car potential....

What can you say ?

Getting manhandled by the Jets.

Made to look foolish by Geno Smith.

At this point, you have to ask, where is this Raiders team headed, up, or down ?

Frustrated with dropped passes, and no protection for McGloin or the Marquis King punting. That audible they just ran shows just how much we need help on the O-Line; nobody was on the same page.

We are down by 10 points, let's hope the defense can stop the Jets, and we can come back with a "W". Streater and Reece are the highlights of our offense right now. JUST WIN, DAMMIT!

Five minutes to go, on the move, down by 17 and...lollygagging to the next play? Against the team that brought us the Heidi game? Come on, Raiders...

2016, my ass!!!!!!!

Once again, it appears the Raiders are a team going no where.

They still have the losing culture.

They always do what it takes to lose.

Play great defense, so play bad offense.

Offense good, defense sucks.

Play great in the 1st half. Don't show up in the 2nd half.

Don't show for the 1st half. Play catch up in the 2nd, but fall short.

Kick the ball great in a meaning less game.
Miss the big kicks in a close game.

Run the ball well, so can't throw it.
Throw it well, can't run it.

On and on it goes, with no end in sight.

It used to be, "Just win", now it's, "What is needed to lose".

SICKENING.

Raiders just secured 11 straight years without a winning season, and they did it in ugly fashion.

Out-played and out-coached.

...And furthermore...

Raiders opponent needs a special teams flop, we'll give it.

Need a fumble, Raiders will cough it up.

Need a pick, we'll throw it right to ya.

Need a stupid penalty, it's coming right up.

Get the point yet ??

I have a funny feeling that come the magical, 2016, things will still be the same, if big changes are not made.

Raiders need real, professional football people running the show, to finally get rid of the ...

LOSING CULTURE.

Two equally crap teams with mediocre rookie qbs. Ryan completely out coaches Allen that was the difference.

But hey you get what you pay for. I mean Allen, Olson? One was qb coach at friggin Jacksonville and the other a d coordinator for a grand total of one year.

Definitely a clown car game for the defense. Woodson said it all with his comments post-game. I love that guy.

Did that really happen? Geno Smith and the Jets scoring 30? With extra time for the Raiders D to prepare? Pathetic. Wasn't this defense a top 10 unit not too many weeks ago?

And what's up with the blocked punts?
