Chargers Gamenight Thread

Well, Merry Christmas, Raider Takers!

The motto is Pride & Poise. Well, tonight pride is on the line.

We are at home, on Christmas Eve, on national television, aiming to reach .500.

There's no reason not to take it to 'Lil Phil and the Bolts tonight. GO RAIDERS!

Carr is taking dumb sacks and now we can't even execute a hail mary.

There's still another half to get it right.

Not very inspired football, which is unbelievable given the circumstances, being it's Woodson's last home game.

So far, the Chargers clearly want this game more.

wow, you guys are a joke. The team pulled it out, they are learning, can't you see? Missing 3 top D-line players and a makeshift D B ...no real MLB.....and the D really won this game for them, for Charles. Anyone hear what Charles said after the game.....he knows.

I am a Raider.

Epic win for one of the classiest players to ever put on a uniform.

Very improbable come-from-behind in a second half that featured zero first downs by the Raiders. It's scary to think the Raiders offense can be shut down with such regularity, i.e., after yielding -17 yards in the first half a couple weeks ago.

Injuries are a part of the game. That should never be an excuse. Every team deals with them this time of year.

For example, Chargers secondary was so depleted they were playing a WR at DB toward the end of the game; yet the Raiders were unable to exploit that obvious mismatch.

It was startling to see so many pre-snap penalties while playing a home game.

In the end, only one thing matters in any single game. This win was a x-mas present for all of us.

Happy Holidays to all!

P.S. @ Sandy, Murray was flawless. Love to see that!

That was potentially the last game played in Oakland, as the city and county will not meet the NFL's deadline for a stadium proposal. The city may have just buried the Raiders' chances of staying.

All in all, what I would love to see is the Raiders punch KC in the face on Sunday. I don't think the Chargers beat the Doncos, but I would love to see the Raiders end the Chiefs winning streak, and begin to knock them down in the playoffs. Let's end the season on a high note Raiders!

My playoff predictions. I think it is going to be the Patriots and Cardinals in the Super Bowl, and I am putting my money on the Cardinals. I think they are the powerhouse defensively and offensively right now. They are motoring on all levels, and that was a huge win against Green Bay. Carolina's defense is something to reckon with, but they are a beatable team. They are wearing down physically right now, and this is the time you want to peak as a team, and I think they've past their peak. That is not to say that Arizona is not a beatable team, but they are improving with each game right now, they are playing with motivation to get it done, and I think they will.

Reece suspended for 4 games for PEDs. If it upholds, he will not be eligible for offseason workouts like Aldon Smith. :/
I hope it is not true, and he gets a fair hearing.

RN - I predict Carolina will beat out AZ, if for no other reason than Palmer has underperformed his entire career. No need to change that now. I still wish the Raiders would have secured Veldheer, who is an anchor on the AZ line, and still only age 28. Donald Penn is 32, and has had his share of breakdowns this year.

JDR on Heeney "he's got the speed and he arrives with a punch." That's a perfect description from what I've seen. I know some folks think Ball will jump right back in when he returns next year but don't count Heeney out. He is quietly one of the Raiders better draft choices.

Chip Kelley has been fired, a match made in heaven is about to take place. Chip Kelley to the Cleveland Browns, so he can coach Manziel.

Kelly dismantled a good team and failed miserably. That took an arrogance that most teams will want to avoid.

Just read that Woodson is playing his last NFL game in the same stadium as his first NFL game.

Let's finish 8-8.

GO RAIDERS!

Happy New Year!
