Redskins Gameday Thread

My theme for this game is "time to step up."

In their current state, the Redskins are the perfect test for the Raiders. Are we still a bottom feeder, able only to beat the lifeless Jaguars? Or are we ready to take the next step and beat a capable but vulnerable foe?

Now is the time for the Raiders to get to 2-2 and show some growth. GO RAIDERS!

NYR...if the Raiders didn't trade for Flynn, who else was there?

Imagine the crying from you, if, NO ONE was signed at QB. Pryor, Wilson, McGloin?

Oh yeah, I forgot, according to you, McGloin is already better than Flynn and would have been a better backup? I'm sure the Raiders brain trust did not feel comfortable with just those 3 so they sent a 5th rd pick ( gasp ) and paid 6 mill this year.

As you can see, it's early in the season, Pryor went down and Flynn still gives us a chance to win. McGloin would have been a disaster and would have left the team feeling let down because Mgmnt didn't address the issue.

INSTEAD, we have a good backup who will give the team a chance to win and you call the trade a failure.....AND you still haven't come up with a better scenario...like I wrote, STFU and sit down, you suck.

Apparently Jones is a doctor who has examined Pryor first hand lol....

Common sense is the name. You don't throw a raw kid who runs for a living into the scenario that IS.

A shaky head, only a few games under his belt, only 1 practice during the week, no, you don't put that on the kid. Let him sit this one out and recover, think beyond 1 game...crazy ass bitches.

I think Flynn is going to have a decent game. If Pryor is ready to go next week, then he plays no matter what Flynn does today. This game is big in Flynn's career...if he flops, it could be OVER. If he plays well, he will still be wanted around the League if Raiders decide to dump him after this year. that is huge motivation for Flynn.

I bet that, if he stays past this year in Oakland, he will take a pay cut next year.

GO RAIDERS

It's official: Pryor is inactive for the game. Let's see if Flynn can step up, manage the game, and earn a small portion of his large paycheck.

Would like to see the rushing attack get on track early in the game, build momentum, and exert their will over the Skins.

Goooooooooooooo Raiders!

BOOM BABY....there it is, Flynn isn't as bad as some would make you think...how's that trade looking now, NYR? Once again, Pryor stays #1 no matter what happens today.

OUCH...Flynn needs to take care of that ball...a couple times now he hasn't seen the coverage.

I think they are a little too pass happy at this point. Up 14-3 and backup QB, RUN THE DAMN BALL, run the clock, don't get freakin cocky.

Lousy coaching at the end of the 1st half...maybe they are telling Flynn that they don't trust him after the pick six. Still, you make an effort to get some points, that was not good.

Flynn is playing like ass. Can not throw further than 10 yards down the field, can't scramble. Pick 6 and 3-4 sacks he is sheeeeeet.

Jones what say you now?

Flynn sucks and so does Reggie can you imagine where we would be if Al did not draft Pryor. Flynn can not even look for a second receiver---5 sacks and counting

Flynn should be cut. In all seriousness he has single handily lost the game today by himself.

Jones you must feel real angry after talking up Flynn all week and then seeing him give the redskins 14 points

Reggie you suck. His two main moves this year Flynn and Hayden both suck

Yeah, it was FUGLY, all the way around, coaching, players messing up, QB being a total loser. Jano missed again, injuries...that was one ugly game.

A visiting team that didn't even care and the Raiders just gave it to them...DISGUSTING.

I thought Flynn had more substance than that, gutless is what I would call his performance. He won't be back next year.

I would say that Tracy Porter is more of a liability than Hayden. The kid had no preseason, give him a few games.

The O-line looked bad today, so did the QB, Jennings was the only bright spot on Offense.

LB play was not good enough today, Porter gets beat often, #21 had a clean shot at RGIII that would have ended a drive, totally whiffed, that was a big miss.

Plenty of blame on this one...clown car territory

Well, Jones. So much for your love fest with Flynn. You want to know who I would have picked up instead of paying Flynn $6M? Anybody!

That was the most uninspired QB play I can remember ever watching.

Marty is right. Flynn single handedly lost that game.

Redskins are as bad as advertised. That was a totally winnable game.

FYI, Flynn's not even a good backup.

VIVA COACH ALLEN, YOU JUST RUINED THE SEASON BY PUTTING THIS STUPID ASS FLYNT IN THE GAME AND NOT CHANGING TO MCGLOIN, I AM NOT A PRAYING MAN BUT I WILL PRAY THAT YOU AND MCKNEZIE GET FIRED AS SOON AS TODAY

My lovefest? I said he was a good backup for the situation the Raiders were in...is that a lovefest?

A short week, with Allen not taking the Bull by the Horns from the beginning of the week and declaring Flynn to start and prepping the team for it. The team was not ready to play today.

Hopefully, Allen will learn a lesson here and Pryor can be ready for next week. Disappointing, that is for sure. Can't screw away games like this....Allen better take the blame for this one.
