Broncos Gameday Thread

Well, the Raiders had a bye week, and so did the front page of Raider Take, so thanks to all of you who stoked the coals and kept the comments fire burning. Been a bit slowed by illness here, too.

So we signed Houshmanzadah (I don't care if I spelled that right or not) and McFadden is out. Odd that we finally signed a veteran possession receiver years after we needed one, and at a point where you could argue we don't. But I'm not complaining, because there could still be some Palmer-Housh magic in the house.

Let's face it, McFadden or not, this should be an easy win for the Raiders. Tebow and Company should not be able to mount any sort of serious attack against our defense.

That said, it still may take a while for our offense to sort itself out with Palmer at the helm. So I won't be surprised (but maybe a little disappointed) if it's a close contest. GO RAIDERS!

This might goes against the grain of Hue's "livin' on the edge" philosophy BUT what I want to see is an old fashioned, grind it out type victory that consists of;

- A conservative offensive game plan in Palmer's 1st start with a minimal # (if any) trick plays.

- 30+ carries from Bush & T. Jones combined

- Utilizing FB Reece in the passing game matched up with LBs.

- Winning time of possession, the field position game, and turnover battle.

- consistent QB pressure on Tebow that creates dynamic plays for the defense (hits, knockdowns, sacks, INTS) which creates short, manageable field position for Palmer to guide the team to points.

It will be interesting to see just how far Palmer has come along and if TJH can be a key "move the chains" type 3rd down WR.

Calico,

If that is the strength of you team, and in this case it is, that is playing to win.

But, if they get up by two TD's, don't go too conservative. Step on their neck.

All I can say is, Go Dolphins, Go Packers and Go Raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!

Against the #19 Pass "D" there's no reason to fear throwing that "Pig" and we need to get this thing going now before we meet "SD" on Thursday...This should be viewed as a prep/warm-up game for what's left on our schedule...

Win of course but use this time to get ready...

Week #9...The Match-Up: Raiders -vs- Tebowncos...."O"-vs-"D"....

"O"-#12.................."D"-#20
Passing-#23..............Pass-#19
Rushing-#2...............Rush-#17

Rush-#16.................Rushing-#8

Panty,

No NFL team should be viewed as a prep warm up game for anything.

That's generally when you get your head handed to you. The fish are up over the Chefs 28-3 at the moment.

I'm sure the Chefs were counting this in the "W" column at kickoff.

Correction, the Fish now lead 31-3. The Chefs need to score four TD's in eight minutes to tie.

We do out part and the Cheeseheads do theirs, first place.

Just Win Baby.

Them's Thar "Squaw"s Was Playing Shit The Past Few Weeks...

We gave them one with the pick 6's and "SD" dumped them another..>But "KC"s "O" looked absolutely sick!!

Now for all practical purposes they be done for the season considering the way their playing and that schedule they have left...

But was ain't the "Squaw"s and we won't be dumping anything to that "Donkey"!!!

In all likelihood we be on top toe the AFCW after today and have a 2 game lead by Thursday Night!!!

BINGO, Memdf. it's what I've been saying all along.

The D, and special teams are grossly lacking.

And how we gonna get better without draft picks ?

The need for a real GM cannot wait until off season.

Must hire now, before what's left of Al's concept is totally torn apart.

We feel like it's going to be a tough game. They might remind us a lot of Whitewater as far as they're big up front on offense.
