In the last thread, SCAR said,
"Sandy, we just need to agree to disagree on when a bust should be considered a bust. You see Hayden as a bust. I don't. You see Watson as a bust. I don't. I see talent taken in the 6th and 7th rounds. you don't."

I don't see Hayden or Watson as a bust, At the same time, do not confuse the matter by suggesting that they were picked in the 6th or 7th Rounds. They were picked in the First and Second Round.

With that said, I don't see them as a worthy selection in 1st or 2nd round pick in the 2013 Draft either. I think they both could have been picked in the 4th or 5th round that year. That is where a lot of people say McKenzie failed with them. It is not that they are "busts" but they were selected at the wrong time in the draft with other players that available that would have made much more of an impact today with the Raiders.

McKenzie made a HUGE mistake taking those guys that early in the draft. By keeping them as long as he can is suggesting that he is trying to save face with those picks.

Hayden has yet to get on the field long enough to prove himself; and he is closer to "bust" status every time he is not on the field.

A lot of Raider fans said the same things about Fabian Washington that are being said of Hayden right now, and Fabian left and went to Baltimore and turned out to be better than what we saw from him. Then again, he was in the same position here as Hayden is now, they both had/have crappy coaching.

Watson is showing improvement, but still has a long way to go. Time will tell how these picks pan out, but we fans want to see it immediately, especially drafted that high. Compare the production of Mack and Carr, with the production of Hayden and Watson; then tell me with a straight face that you are not disappointed with Hayden and Watson. Because the impact that Mack and Carr have made is what we all expect of Hayden and Watson, and we haven't seen it.

MURRAY! THIS IS WHAT OUR RUNNING GAME SHOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE ALL YEAR!!! THIS IS WHERE THE COACHES HAVE FAILED MISERABLY! UNBELIEVABLE! LET'S PUNCH THE CHIEFS IN THE FACE AND GET OUR FIRST WIN! JUST WIN, BABY!!!!

Hopefully Murray is okay. He has been the shot in the arm we need for our running game. We saw how dismal (once again) McFadden is.

Nate, you're exactly right. Light years separate Hayden/Watson v. Mack/Carr.

Watson whiffed badly on a play that forced Carr to get rid of the ball. Hayden has played well, but no better than TJ Carrie did before he became injured.

Let's get this win!!

Is this the night guys. Terrible weather, pounding the ball. The stars are aligning. It would be even sweeter to get the first win against a division rival

Time to start a new streak!

Murray and Reece showed just how bad it was re-signing McFadden and signing MJD. Hard to believe it took 11 games to figure it out.

Thursday crapshoots.

Way to go Justin Tuck calling a timeout at the end. I think I might even say RM made a good choice signing him. The Defense overall played good enough to win

It only took Olson 11 games to figure out that McFadden doesn't have it anymore and MJD is over the hill, and so he finally uses Reece and Murray. And then Olson almost gives the game to the Chiefs in the 4th quarter. Reece is running thru the chiefs defense, the O-line is winning the 1v1 and what does Olson do? He consistently goes away from Reese and the running game. Unbelievable....the Raiders won in spite of Olson.

The game is over, and the Raiders have more points than the Chefs.

What does this mean ? Is this a win ? It's been so long, I've forgotten.

But really, it is great to finally, finally, finally, remember what winning feels like. Feels great, so let's do it more often.

Amazing how NFL protects Qb's & Wr's from head hits. But Rb's heads are an ok target. Hope Murray is alright.

Murray & Reese gave the spark on the ground, and made all the difference. Where were the coaches hiding these guys all year ??

Great drive engineered by Carr at the end. The D made some big plays too.

It all adds up to a win. A win, thank God.
