Bad Start...Good Ending?

Not the best way to start off the game, one punt and seven points down just 2.5 minutes into the first quarter. Need to find a way for a good ending.

Nnamdi tries to run the INT out of the endzone. Daunte grounds the ball. What was that famous quote by Bill Callahan?

Mistakes aside, Daunte sure looks a lot better than McCown. The good ending is still an option.

Love how they're clawing their way back. Finally, some fumble recoveries. Janikowski on the money. If we could just stop the run in the second half...

Chester Taylor....Chester Taylor...Is there any back in the NFL that can't rack up 200 yards on the Raiders?

I predict a INT game over

Can anyone explain why we still don't have a two-minute offense? Better yet, why couldn't we mix some deep passes in on that final drive instead of throwing for 5 yards to the right for three plays in a row?

The object of the game is to get the ball into the endzone.

I'm not sure what the point is of taking the last two minutes to go 40 yards.

Go look at the official game book on NFL.com. The last eight plays prior to the hail mary were short left, middle or right. ALL OF THEM. With no timeouts on our side.

Also, it took us 16 seconds between a three-yard gain and the next snap in the final minute.

Insane, illogical and inexcusable.

You can say that again RT. What really hurts is that once again we were in this one down to the wire. Again.

Correction: It took us TWENTY-SIX SECONDS between that three-yard gain and the next snap in the final minute. INSANITY is afoot.

Anybody notice how much Culpepper looked throwing the deep ball than dinking and dunking? Something about playing to your players strengths.

ok i didn't watch the game live, only saw updates online. someone please explain how we had a -3 turnover margin, good passing numbers from Daunte, 3 sacks, balanced TOP, etc. and we still lost. it is perplexing that we can show decent numbers on paper and still lose.

my head hurts.

ESPN.com is reporting Russell starts Dec. 2nd against Denver.

Well I just got done watching the game, and boy do you guys need to blow up your offensive lines and defensive lines and just start from scratch. I know Al loves the track star WR's and DB's, but the old man is just going to have to change his ways and rebuild starting with the trenches in the offseason. Russell has got some skills and I see him shining for the Raiders, but only if you have a completely different o-line out there in front of him. You guys bring back Gallery, Sims, and McQuistan next year, and Russell is going to be running for his life. As of now, you Raiders sure take losing to an art form.

Janikowski gets the only game ball (only mistake was kicking out of bounds on the Vikes last drive). Curry is a close second, but dropped an easy one... as did Madsen.

We were successful throwing down field early in the game, yet when we should have thrown downfield, we didn't...?

And, how many times did we need to test the middle of their D? Didn't Kiffin watch game film from last week, when the Packers ran well outside???

And 9 points on turnovers simply wasn't enough (again, thanks to Janikowski... did I just say that?).

The D is a real mystery. Almost 500 yards allowed... Is it the players or the scheme?

Today's D was "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly."

This was perhaps the most aggressive D Ryan has fielded (blitzing, forcing mistakes, etc), and yet couldn't stop the run, no matter who had the ball.

Another winnable game down the tubes.

I know that coach Ryan is a fan and player's favorite, but the lack of not being able to stop the run is not going to get this team into the playoffs - maybe his run should be over and try a new DC.

Im just SICK....Thats it! Say what you will about "Kiffin" having to Dumb down the playbook for this team.......It looks it! How many freekin times did we try off tackle...........Unreal.....Unacceptable! Green Bay ran outside with great results. Wasted downs......No 2min. drill??? WTF, He said he would put an "explosive" offense on the field......Looks like the Tom "mr.potato head" Walsh playbook.......Spuds that sums up our play.....Spuds

say what you want about rob ryan, but he is probably not very concerned.

you see, ryan has 4 great defensive linemen he coaches each week.
they put tremendous pressure on the qb, and can stop any runner by forming an impenetrable brick wall of defense.

yes, and tomorrow, ryan and his great linemen will climb into a yellow submarine and explore the ocean floor.

a pathetic joke.

Well we now know that the Raiders will not win another game this season. We have played the weakest NFL teams in the country the past 4weeks and couldnt play offense or defense. We are no better with Kiffin/Knapp then with Shell/Walsh no matter what the players say. The final two minutes were ridiculously managed. Daunte passed for almost 400 yards but still managed to fumble and stumble and make poor decisions when it mattered most. Our defense cannot stop the run to save their lives, I challenge any runner in the NFL to run for 300 yards against us because it is possible.
I would of hated to see what Adrian Peterson would of done to us today. Just really disgusted and another bad night of listening to Sportscenter.

Bad Start...Bad Ending....Bad 5 seasons in a row...Bad Team...Bad Offense...Bad Defense...Bad Coaching...Bad Scouting...Bad Ownership.....Now that i have that off my chest let me start by saying that the Raiders are the laughing joke of the NFL the past 5 seasons and we need a major overhaul on both offense and defense. If anyone here thinks that Jamarcus Russell is our savior that is the BIGGEST JOKE because he does need a SUPPORTING cast to win in this league and in less the Raiders Trade every player on this roster and start fresh...ok maybe keep SeaBass "our MVP" then we have no hope for the future. Big Al...you need to give up the reigns and let this team win. Ok im done...Im going to throw up....again..and get ready for next weeks disaster.
