Just Asking

Where are all the folks in the media and elsewhere who heaped praise upon Kerry Collins throughout and even after the 2005 season? Hey, people, he needs you now, so please stand up. He is on the market and…we haven’t heard a peep about any team in the QB-starved NFL pursuing him with any vigor. There are rumors that the Ravens might be interested, but they're not exactly in a hurry to lock him up, are they? Look at the buzz generated by Brees and Culpepper (both coming off devastating injuries) and compare that to the silence surrounding a perfectly healthy Kerry Collins. What does that tell us? It tells us Raiders fans were right all along.

A bigger buzz has been created by Tommy Maddox and Gus Frerotte than the Tin Man. Yikes!

If we get Maddox....We all will need Malox for the game he will play.............Just say NO to the Mad-Ox......Lets grab Brooks and move on..................SOMETHING! Hey It will be kind of fun to see the "Mayor" of I-da-HO's 1970's offense. Who are we kidding...........With the coaching staff of Shell and Walsh, we could get the top 10 Draft picks and still SUCK. What The hell.........Gotta love the Raiders

Why didn't the Raiders just bring C-Wood back to play safety at a cheaper rate ? At least when he's healthy, he's a good player. With Radio Gibson, it's a lose, lose situation. When he's hurt, he's useless, and when he's on the field, he's useless. As far as KFC goes, I don't even want to think about him. If he's brought back, I'll feel really bad for Art Shell. For Pete's sake, Madden, & Flores got to coach all star teams, and Art is getting stuck with garbage dumpster leftovers. If this is the plan for change, then Something is wrong here.

No doubt about it. It has been an uneventful and unproductive free agency so far. Re-signing Radio Gibson is the low point. This is saying something when you consider we attepted to sign Fat Boy Fonuti and Zach's little bro Henry but both failed their physicals. Signing Tyrone Poole is dubious at best. Do we need another CB when we invested a 1st & 2nd round draft choice last year in Washington & Routt? Poole is 34 years old and played in only 6 games the last 2 years combined.

Raider Nation desperately needs some good news. Signing Brooks and another FA for one of our many need areas will give us something to build on for the draft. Either Nick Greisen (LB, NYG) or June Cato (LB, Indy) certainly would help. Why didn't we go after Tank Williams (SS, Tenn) instead of wasting money on Radio Gibson?

RaiderOO--you are predicting the future, brother. Gibson, and likely Poole, will be camp cuts with #24 returning at a reasonable deal to play safety
