The top takes of Raider Take are now available in a single PDF file for FREE.

The file, entitled “Raider Take Collection 2005,” will be sent to you via email. Below I explain: (1) how to get it; (2) the point of the PDF; and (3) what it includes.

HOW TO GET IT

Just email your request to me at raidertake@yahoo.com and I will send you a copy.

THE POINT OF THE PDF

At Raider Take, my goals are simple: (1) generate dialogue on the season in progress; (2) celebrate the greatness of the Oakland Raiders organization and the Raider Nation; and (3) neutralize the forces of anti-Raiders propaganda and negativity in order to grow the Raider Nation and thus help keep the Oakland Raiders in Oakland.

This new PDF compiles takes that emphasize the latter two goals. The season in progress will soon be history, but the greatness of the Raiders and forces of anti-Raiders propaganda will continue. This is why I have created the PDF.

The PDF complements the blog format by compiling multiple takes into a single file that is easy to read, print and distribute. You can keep it in your personal Raiders library, send a copy to a fellow Raiders fan, read it to your kids as a bedtime story, or use it to edify and educate Raiders haters who need some enlightenment. In other words, it is a tool to spread the good news.

WHAT IT INCLUDES

The PDF includes more than 10 timeless takes, such as “Listen Up, Raiders Haters” and “Dear Cowboys Fan” and “I Love Al Davis.” It also includes an epilogue with each postgame haiku to date for the 2005 season (where else can you relive a season in haiku?). The PDF spans 12 pages and more than 5,000 words in total.

The PDF does not contain photographs (this keeps the file size to a minimum for easy emailing). It is formatted in 11-point black Arial font. The presentation is basic. The focus is on content and ideas.
