I wouldn't mind a power back to back up McFadden. Then we would get a Garner/Wheatley feel to our backfield again. Watch Ganaway run, saw him play in person the past few years, and he is straight power.
That will help us in the red zone.
Unless we plan on trading up, we probably won't sniff Sean Spence. I think we can wait and pick up Keenan Robinson (Texas), Terrell Manning (NC State), or Nigel Bradham (Florida State).
If we do trade up, I'd rather draft Ronnell Lewis (Oklahoma). I also think we need to upgrade at Offensive Guard, and Defensive Tackle. Lucas Nix (Pitsburgh), Lonnie Edwards (Texas Tech), and Rokevious Watkins (South Carolina) would be good prospects at Guard.
TJ Barnes (GT) and Hebron Fangupo (BYU). If we trade up Alameda Ta'amu (Washington) would be an excellent pick.
I wouldn't mind having Bowles as a DC. I hope we keep Wiz and Saunders on the Offensive side of things. But, Reggie said it was up to the new coach, so let's see who he grabs.

Raider’s scouts spent quite a bit of time with big powerful Baylor RB, Terrance Ganaway. Michael Bush replacement?

We spoke with Oakland Raider’s Senior scout, Jon Kingdon and he mentioned they were really looking at LBs. This was evidenced when I walked by Miami LB, Sean Spence, and his agent,the notorious Drew Rosenhaus, speaking at length with Raider’s personnel.

Kingdon also had some other interesting Raider’s niblets. They are somehwat disappointed in Rolando McClain to this point. Aaron Curry was a good pick up and he played well. The Raiders were happy with the development of young DBs Chimdi Chekwa and Demarcus Van Dyke.

I am really digging that Allen gets a four year shot, as compared to a two year "Al Davis" contract. Again, there are certain things that other winning organizations have done that works, and that common ground is personnel loyalty. I would also have been OK if they had announced three more years with Hue, and he has the hiring power now that Reggie is the GM. But I am just a spectator, outside the wall. I stand behind the leaders.

PS: to Panty Raider, (in reply) ...as you know, there is one guy, just one, who, for some reason (and we all know who he is) just seems to get some sort of satisfaction in it. Copying and pasting to make a point is necessary much of the time, but for another, it's a living.

The Cleveland Browns have hired former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress to become the team’s offensive coordinator, confirming an earlier report Friday by NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

Childress is the first Browns offensive coordinator under head coach Pat Shurmur, who ran the offense himself during his first season as the team’s head coach. Shurmur acknowledged after the season the need to beef up his staff and find someone to help with game planning.

Shurmur has said he was open to the idea of having his offensive coordinator call plays if the right coach was hired. A source told The Plain Dealer that Shurmur will continue calling plays for now, but the decision is still being discussed and has not been finalized.

The Browns had interest in Childress and former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike Sherman, reported La Canfora, who were both in demand as offensive coordinators. Sherman agreed to terms to take the same position with the Dolphins on Friday.

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio to become their defensive coordinator, the team announced via Twitter on Friday.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora had reported Wednesday that Del Rio was a possible replacement for Dennis Allen, who became the Oakland Raiders’ head coach this week.

Del Rio is the Broncos’ fifth coordinator in five seasons. He also has a strong relationship with Broncos coach John Fox, having served as Fox’s defensive coordinator in 2002, when he was coach of the Carolina Panthers.

“We are thrilled to be able to add such a well-respected defensive coach to our staff,” Fox said. “He was an integral part of our turnaround on defense during my first year with the Panthers in 2002. His defenses with the Jaguars have ranked among the NFL’s best, and we are excited he’s a Bronco.”

Broncos safety Brian Dawkins also tweeted support for Del Rio.

“Love the hire, just hope we can keep him around,” Dawkins said.

Del Rio was fired by the Jaguars in November while in his ninth season with the team. He finished his career in Jacksonville with a 69-73 overall record, including a 1-2 mark in the playoffs.
