Commanders Gameday Thread

This feels like a good 'measuring stick' game for week three.

The Commanders have the same record at 1-1. They seemed to have lost a bit off last year's fastball, while the Raiders are presumably on the ascent from last season.

The offense needs to step up after Monday's debacle. Geno isn't the type of QB who can transcend poor protection. All the Bowers and Jeantys and Genos aren't going to help much if you can't generate time and lanes on the line.

The difference between 1-2 and 2-1 feels like a gulf for some reason.  So let's see them put it together and steal one on the road and get some momentum going.

GO RAIDERS!

For the very reason you cited, RT, I'm floored by talk on the Internet about Raiders trading for AJ Brown. If we can't protect the QB or run the football that would be an insane waste of resources. Smith was not good under pressure last week. Honestly, we've said that about so many former Raiders QBs. The absence of Daniels today clearly favors the Raiders on paper, but that presupposes they will be able to catch Mariota, who will likely run often and make plays.

Even without Daniels, I see this game as 50/50... which makes me nervous.

"It's Time to Compete!" wink!

Stop me if you have heard this before. The OLine coach and ZBS system is hurting our offense right now. 5 sacks, as I type this, and a whole Quarter to play. No pressure on D as they keep dropping Crosby in coverage. What the H311 are we doing? Beyond frustrated

Wasn't able to watch, but following along on my phone. I'm sorry, but letting a Mariota-led team drop 41 on you is pathetic.

I'd be the first to say ZBS doesn't work, but they can't pass block either. And Chip Kelly's running game appears to have only one play, up the middle. Raiders scoring in garbage time means nothing. They got their assess kicked today. Period!

Wasn't Kliff Kingsbury a target of the Raiders for OC? His team ran over the Raiders today.

"Raiders Suffer Demoralizing Loss as Slide Continues,"

Watching Ashton Jeanty get stuffed behind the LOS over and over and over was absolutely demoralizing. Dylan Parham looked lost again this week. He let another defender walk right into the Raiders backfield.

These guys are better than that. We've seen it. It boils down to bad coaching.

Brennan Carroll has to go.
This is beyond embarrassing. Quite frankly, I am not sure we can beat Chicago. Play to the strengths of the team! Let your best players do what they do best! Its not that difficult of a concept

All we can hope for, is that the Raiders will improve as the season goes along.

Because right now, as usual, there is no where to go but up.
